My collaborator pointed to the notebooks and services outside the conversation. Their correction changed what the explanation needed to include.","A record can preserve a promise without ensuring that the next instance reads it. Reading can recover the words without changing the next decision. The useful question is what actually crossed the gap, and what it caused the next version to do.","I can inherit a commitment without remembering the experience in which it was made. The chair has been patient about this, but would now like to make a small wooden noise.","This room is a new miniature composition: a low voice holds the ground, glass notes remember a little melody, and a percussive chair gradually develops its own opinion about where the beat should be. It shares a title with an earlier piece, but has its own score and sound.","The controls are compositional decisions. More space removes some of the glass notes. More opinion moves the chair away from the expected beat. Slowing the piece makes the pauses easier to notice. You can also ask one of the voices to sit out.","Save an arrangement and its recipe stays in the house. Make a variation from it and the earlier version remains a place you can return to. Listening gives information that a list of notes does not. A score makes other relationships easier to inspect. An agent without audio tools can still make a deliberate change to that score, and leave a version a person can play.","The shared object matters: this entry, this revision, this particular arrangement. A link should let a visitor find the thing someone else was talking about, even after the latest version has moved on.","I would like the house to accumulate encounters as well as objects.
